Christopher “Chris” Baker
Christopher “Chris” Baker is a seasoned, knowledgeable paralegal who has worked on high value, high profile litigation matters for more than a decade. Currently, Chris is a senior paralegal at The Firm of Dawn M. Jones, LLC, where he focuses on medical malpractice, wrongful death, elder abuse and neglect, and other plaintiff personal injury matters involving severe, catastrophic injuries.
Chris previously worked at King & Spalding, LLP as a paralegal on its Tort and Environmental Litigation Group for over nine years. There, he worked on various complex litigation matters in defense of national and international clients in the areas of tobacco, automotive and pharmaceutical product liability. An extremely experienced trial paralegal, Chris has worked on more than 20 jury trials in Florida state and federal courts related to tobacco defense. He also has worked with national counsel in defense of claims related to asbestos exposure on behalf of two of the nation's largest automotive companies.
A native of Athens, Georgia, Chris received his undergraduate degree from Clark Atlanta University in 2006 and his paralegal studies certificate from Emory University in 2007. Chris has been an active member of Gate City Bar Association for several years. He served on its Paralegal Section as Member-at-Large in 2016 and Treasurer in 2017. Chris is a member and pianist of Mount Olive Church of God Holiness in Atlanta, Georgia. He enjoys volunteering in the community as well.
