RAHN L. GATEWOOD | MEMBER-AT-LARGE

Key components of his job involve reviewing, structuring and approving all agreements on behalf of Morehouse. He reviews, structures or interprets insurance policies and terms of employee benefits. Rahn also supervises the drafting of institutional policy and oversees institutional compliance programs.
Rahn also provides legal support and due diligence for transactions involving the acquisition of real property, as well as, loan or bond refinancing transactions. Additionally, he manages all litigation for the College, including supervising outside counsel.
Rahn ensures compliance with both institutional and federal policies, accreditation requirements, and other federal regulations such as Title VII and IX. He also ensures Morehouse’s NCAA and conference athletic compliance by authorizing the submission of annual certifications and reports.
Additionally, he has authored the articles, “A Practical Guide for Small Businesses: Keeping Commercial Accounts Collectible” and “A Quandary for Community Associations: Settling Counterclaims as a Legal Strategy.”
Rahn graduated from Dillard University (New Orleans), summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Public Policy. From there, he attended Emory University School of Law as a University Fellow and earned his Juris Doctor Degree. Rahn remains committed to civic engagement, community service, and volunteers throughout the Atlanta area. He presently serves as a board member to Youth Stars Group Home, Inc. He has recently been named a 2017 Georgia Forward Young Gamechanger and as a selectee, in conjunction with the Troup County Chamber of Commerce, he developed a comprehensive sustainability initiative for Troup County, Georgia. Rahn now serves Gate City Bar Association as a member-at-large and works on several committees aimed at membership and mentorship of law students and younger lawyers.
